So the 4th is coming up and I was wondering how your toddler handles fireworks or if you are even allowed to have firework where you live. My son (3) likes the lights of fire works but he hates the loud ones, he will cover his ears and bury his face. I'll be at my moms house where we can legally use fireworks

We can use fireworks here too. Last year meike freaked out so I'm expecting Rissa to do the same this year. Meike doesn't seem so anxious around fireworks this year so far. Abi the oldest has been lighting them and has had no problem since she was 2 years. We want to keep Rissa as calm as possible this year so we'll do ones that don't shoot in the sky and watch the ones that shoot in the sky from a good distance.

Andrew loves the ones that go in the sky, when he was 1 we went to a huge show at a college campus for a choreographed music/firework show and he was in awe. We can't use the sky ones here though I was thinking about letting him have a sparkler this year but he is so not ready yet lol
