Wearing well-constructed sturdy shoes that are in good condition is helpful to those suffering from pain in the heel area. Make sure that you wear shoes that are appropriate for your activities, such as hiking, running or walking. Women should avoid wearing high heels, except on special occasions. Lose weight, since obesity can heighten stress on the feet.

Hi Thing is that you'll first have to pinpoint the reason why there is pain. Foot pain can present itself due to a number of reasons ranging from arthritis, neuropathy, a fracture or some other injury. For me, about a year ago I started experiencing this pins and needles sensation in the my feet and fingertips. I already had diabetes but I had no idea that this could have anything to do with my illness. I tried massaging my foot and applying balms and creams I got online but none of that made much of a difference. It is when I decided to go see a doctor that they diagnosed me with neuropathy induced by diabetes. I had to basically flip my lifestyle in terms the exercise I would do, the food I would eat and even the way I would think. I made a routine where I would go running every morning, my first meal would be oatmeal flavored with a bit of honey and I absolutely avoided soda. I also take OPC supplements (got them from www.vitaminexpress.org/uk/opc-supplements). They come from grape seed extract which is good for you if you inflammatory diseases such as arthritis or neuropathy. It has plenty of research testing its effectiveness so you can explore it to treat your pain if it persists. Goodluck!
