as a mother of adult children, i am coming to you young adults for advise.
how can i get my 20 yr old son interested in having a life. he has no job, he is going to jr. college but with no real goal. how can i help him get on his feet without hovering or nagging?

From what I remember he was really great with sets for theater maybe help find a internship of something to get him a little more interested in finding what he wants for his future. Even nudge him a little to talk to the school adviser to help him map his college career out. It may help for him to talk to someone other than his parents about what he wants to do. If it weren't for dad giving me a ultimatum go to school or get a job and move out I would have stayed home for much longer. I wasn't ready for school and still don't think I am yet but after working for a long time and now being a mother I know which direction my life needs to go.

Thank you.. he would love to work the theater..we have tried to get him to either volunteer or apply for a job at the local theaters, but he never did. He just won't apply himself. I can't do it for him.
